Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice!

I had my ultrasound today and it went perfect.. The results are great with everything showing normal growth and that she definitely has female parts.

It was very exciting to take my daughter along too. At first I was hesitant because she has school but I didn't know how much it meant to her, but she had been counting down the days for weeks!

Tomorrow marks my 18th week, which seems like its taking forever, but then again, I'm almost halfway there. I need to start shopping now that I know the sex for sure. Everything is so gender bias... it was impossible to pick anything out without knowing if I was having a little girl or a little boy.

Names are another thing I'm struggling with. I really like the name Addison, but my husband is sold on that name yet. We have friends that have a daughter named Madison and he says its too similar. Since when were we supposed to not name our children what we really like just because someone we know has used a similar name almost 10 years ago?

Still Learning....

I haven't been doing very well at this blog thing. My intentions were good, I was supposed to write more often than this.
I have a million things rolling around in my head that I could write about, it's just so overwhelming.
I'm sure as I practice and write more, I'll get better about organizing my thoughts better.

Ummmm... so, what was I going to say? I dunno!!!

I guess I can talk about my pregnancy a little bit... It's been pretty easy thus far. Today is the start of 17 weeks and I was suppose to have my ultrasound this week, but I guess ultrasound techs need vacations too :( So, next week, I'll have an ultrasound and then finally, I'll be able to buy a few things for my baby :)

The one thing I really want to buy is a DSLR camera. I want one really really bad!! I also want a FLIP video camera. I didn't have a video camera when my daughter was born 12 years ago, I didn't even have a cell phone back then. I wish I had captured more of her on video.
The only source of photography I have right now is my iphone. I have a point and shoot digital camera but it's just okay.

I really wish I was better at this blog thing. Should I tell stories from the past? If so, how much background information do I need and what if I start rambling on and on and sound real stupid. If I wait for topics that come up in my life, I could go weeks without posting anything, and I don't want to do that.

Hopefully, I get better at this and if I ever get a reader or two, then maybe that'll encourage me more.

I'm a Blog Girl Now!

OK, here it goes... my first blog post EVER!


I've been lurking around for a while now reading everyone else's blogs and secretly wishing they were mine. I've been thinking of a blog title for about a month and just decided to go with whatever came to me. As far as the layout and design, I've been searching for a week and decided to just go ahead and type out my first post and worry about all that jazz later.

to rant, rave, complain, bitch and moan, rejoice and celebrate, and to document this little life of mine. Along the way, I'll include my some members of my family consisting of my husband, my 11 yr old daughter and the baby that's brewing in my belly!
